I know, you people arent smart enough to fix alot of problemsIf you look at the members list, you will see why. Many of the members are spam account that get disabled, not deleted.
I agree, providing that I have the knowledge to share. Except for the "no matter what it is." If its a question that I see a lot, I will point them in the right direction. If its a very broad question that doesnt really have an answer i.e. "what should I buy," I ignore those threads.
Dont worry Paden, I share your passion for poor spelling. Btw you spelled something wrong.
We cant answer your neon questions here!
Yes, but this is one of those things that is a reoccurring issue. One that will never go away. It may get suppressed, but will always linger waiting to be exposed. Sometimes is better to expose issues so people understand things need to change.
There's a difference between helping someone troubleshoot or offering suggestions versus someone that's being lazy and expects other members to do all the research for them. Usually, if they searched around a bit, they can find that the information is out there for them. When someone says "I've searched and can't find ANYTHING" when it's apparent that they haven't (because I've actually typed in the keywords myself), it gets annoying. What's the point of helping someone that's too lazy to help themself? IMO, CI doesn't need lazyasses or people looking for handouts. It stinks.so please- especially the senior members- can we try and remedy this? because if we keep shitting on people looking for help this forum will turn into a damn ghost town. And in my opinion this problem is much more severe than how damn big someones signature is.../rant
Good point. Also if I may add, for every newbie such as myself that joins, that's a potential donor $$$ to the site (yes, I did donate). For every newbie lost....well you guys get the gist.<snip of a good post> so please- especially the senior members- can we try and remedy this? because if we keep shitting on people looking for help this forum will turn into a damn ghost town. That's crazy, here you get told to search..over at TI your thread would just get deleted.when i was a noob i got that crap and migrated to TI for information and came back to CI just for conversation and looking at other people's cars. i dont want that to happen to everyone, i feel like we're starting to turn it around a bit and im glad. i enjoy helping people with whatever i can help them with and i will never tell someone to simply search if i clearly know the answer.
x2I'm probably one of the biggest assholes here on CI, but I think that those of us who car the bigger assholes have pulled back on it as of late(myself included).
I realize that the point of this forum is to share the knowledge we have of these cars, but I think that new members have the responsibility to attempt to find answers to their questions before asking seasoned members to lead them by the hand. I also think that new members should be able to type using punctuation, capitalization, and somehting resembling grammar and the English language. If you want an answer, don't type a cipher for all to decode.
Another thing is that people need to not be so damn sensitive when someone disagrees with them or doesn't answer their question as if they were answering a child in kindergarden. If you let someone's asshole comment on the internert get to you, you need to re-evaluate your priorities in life.
Just my thoughts, then again I am one of the biggest assholes here on CI.

Searching is encouraged to avoid the same mistakes made by someone else, gain knowledge, and to utilize all the functions of the forum. Isn't that the point of having a search bar there? It's not just the noobies that get shitted on, it's everyone. I like to think that a good number of the members on here can judge and tell who actually needs the help and who's being lazy. I've noticed that those who need it because they're honestly stumped usually get it.
Members hating on bodykits, brands, etc. -- it's all in opinion. You're on a public forum where people with opinions aren't afraid to voice them. If you haven't figured it out this late in life, maybe it's time to find a new hobby. Granted, some people are more "vocal" than others, but it is what it is. lol Love it or hate it, it's everywhere, not just on CI.
I lurked and tried to get familiarized with the forum and info before actually posting, and when posting, it was to introduce myself to the other members. I have and have had a good number of questions ( ), but it's nothing a bit of research and browsing around hasn't solved. I'd say 8/10 times, the answers are out there. People just have to start seeking them in more efficient ways. It makes for more educated members. You shouldn't rely on just one source for all your information anyway.
