It doens't matter what badges are on the car, the only 2 things to go by is the engine block stamping and the valve cover

Non VTEC heads/cover

VTEC valve cover

i say forget the sale. if its in such a condition where you have to second guess everything its not worth buying at all.

Well once i saw the car i had already determined that i wasnt buying it.

A not on weather or not it was the B18C1 it definatly had a black valve cover that i am %99 sure didnt say vtec on. I am %200 sure that it wasnt a red valve cover. so that confirms it.

well the GSR VTEC valve cover is black, but looks identical to the red one, the red ones are for the Type-R, it was just the only vtec cover pic i had

So i found another one that looks decent. The guy seems to be asking for a lot though and at the same time the kbb value just plummeted?

So this is a 1995 GS-R with 172xxx miles on it. Fully loaded with leather sunroof , factory cd changer etc. adult owned and from the pics the car looks really clean. Its red too if that matters.

The guy is asking $4995 obo for it. This seems kind of steep to me.

The kelley blue book is now $2085 IN EXCELLENT condition? When i looked up the last one not more then month ago it was more like 3100? Nada seems to be similar from before around 3200 for a "clean" car.

What do you guys think about this? The car looks really good from the pics (its about 60 mi from me so i dont want to make the trip unless i have the intention of coming back with it) I dont want to lowball the guy but i feel like a good solid offer to get the games going is more like 3500?

Let me know what you guys think.

The link that i tried posting doen't work but you can see at kbb.com or edmunds.com

Thanks

Ethan
