I've never heard the Elementals.. but they're supposed to be good woofers. So I'd say that or the JL.

I think this thread was started a hella long time ago... but you might wanna consider Image Dynamics as well... IDMAXs.

you can get 'em easily online.. Sound Domain has them... there's only one ID dealer here in town.. and they happen to be the Zapco dealer too.

I am simply asking for an opinion here. Money is no object and I want to know what speaker I should use with a Rockford FosgateType RF x6 (1200 watts mono) amplifier. The speakers I have narrowed it down to are; JL12w7, JBLw12gti, and Elemental Design e12a.22

i have a 12 w3 w/ a POS sony xplod amp that im borrowing from my step bro untill i get my 250/1 jl amp..........but with that sup and the xplod amp dude it sounds good.....definately stay with jl tho

The JL's do have pretty dope stuff. A guy at my work has two Kicker Solo Baric 12's the square L7's and those things gave me the biggest headache!!! He has a Kicker amp, but I'm not sure of the specs on it.
I personally have a single Kenwood 12" w3009 sub in a bandpass box powered by a Rockford Punch 3001 mono amp 300w rms. in my girlfriends '04 Civic SI and it pounds!!! It hits really clean. It's all about having the right box too, ya know.

one thing to remember is that the JL w7's are discontinued. The new w6v2's are alot like the w7's but are more high tech.

JL audio W7 all the way. those subs pound! you can get 10's, 13.5inch and i think they have 12's now
another good sub company is Eclipse! they make headunits,speakers,subs,amps,dvd screens etc..they are also good
