What single 12" subwoofer is the best?

I am simply asking for an opinion here. Money is no object and I want to know what speaker I should use with a Rockford FosgateType RF x6 (1200 watts mono) amplifier. The speakers I have narrowed it down to are; JL12w7, JBLw12gti, and Elemental Design e12a.22

I have on 10w6v2 and that pounds. i would say go with JL they are know for high quality stuff.

audiobahn's hit hard but break easy!.. i actually had a Sony 12..1200w and i loved it.. i wasnt a big fan on sony products but i loved it..it got stolen so i bought a new one which i'm trying to get rid of..kenwood has a nice new sub out, also rockford he2 is a nice sub...but dont get something ur gonna have to much power for.. 1200 watt amp is big.. so get something nice... good luck!

My friends have Audiobahn and their subs haven't broken. One of my friends has 2 15s in his Suburban, another has 2 18s in his Tacoma and 1 12 in his VW VR6. They haven't had problems yet and they bump 'em as hard as they possibly can.

i love my 2 diamond audio 10's each push out 1500 watts and i never used the 1500 watts because 800 a piece is enough for me and my car. diamond audio is the same as jl

its all about overpowering the sub.

my buddy has a lil 10" that hits just about as hard as my friends 2 12"s

if you overpower the sub (but not blowing it) youll hit hard.

my friend tried explaining it to me, but i didnt know what was going on. he an installer at Best Buy.

you don't want to overpower your sub too much... by 50 watts is okay... but it's better than underpowering your subs.. distortion sucks. :evil:
