what up all? I'm currently in the market for some new rods for my B18C1 turbo build. I all ready got some new slugs, some stock bore 9 to 1 compression weisco pistons. NEw rings and rods were next on my list. I ain't no big baller so the top off the line spoon, greddy , hks brand rods are way outta my league. I heard eagle is good to go with but i wanted to hear what your guys's opinion is.

Take your pick based upon your budget. Eagle, (very nice) Pauter, and Manley are the main ones used. Research, and check your wallet.

I've used eagle, there ok, crowers econo rods are good. Right now i'm running brian crower rods, same as crowers econo rods. Carrilos are some of the best but I wouldn't use them in a turbo build.

Pauter, Carrillo and Manley are very nice and extremely beefy rods......and they also cost twice as much as Eagle and Crower rods

your pistons didnt come with rings? wtf!! i got eagle rods with the 9mm arp rod bolts. unless you are going to push above 650whp, the eagles with those bolts will work fine

Naw didn't get any rings when I got my weiscos I was probably gonna get som total seal piston rings. I heard a lot of good from a couple other reliable sources. I was plannin as 450 to 500 hp so you all think the eagles would be sufficent insurance for my build?thanks all 4 the advice so far

Use the rings that match with the piston company. On that level of the build it is best not to mix/match parts companies based upon their tolerances.

Eagle was one of the brands i was really leaning towards usin. With some total seal rings and ARP studs
I'm going to say this once more..

Use the rings that match with the piston company that you choose.. On that level of the build it is best not to mix/match parts companies based upon their tolerances. Total Seal are best with CUSTOM MADE PISTONS..
