What is a fair price to pay for a 2000 integra GS

Hi guys,

I just recently started looking at integras. One of the cars I found caught my eye. It's a 2000 GS coupe which is apparently in mint condition inside and out.

The car has a little less than 100k miles. Timing belt along with all other belts and water pump were done at 70k. The car is bone stock.

The car has had 3 owners and maintenance records for the whole time are available. I ran a carfax and it is clean, the car has always been taken to honda/acura dealerships by all the owners.

The seller is asking $5000. I made an offer of $4500, but I'm not sure if this would be overpaying for what I am getting. I haven't really found many Integras in a similar good condition. KBB says $5k is how much is worth with the mileage.

Any thoughts?

I payed 4600 for my 99 LS with 87k miles. Mine had a few flaws, but it was just cosmetic. I was happy to pay 4600 when KBB was over 5200, especially with super low miles. Hard to find with under 150k. Mine had all the same work done as what you are saying. I feel like 4500 is a fair offer, but don't be surprised if the seller doesn't want to drop 500 from KBB price.

I paid 5k for my bone stock clean 01 GS with 98k miles. Previous owners were an old couple who were initially asking $6k 2.5 years ago.. I think $4500 is fair price for a clean GS.

Well, the Seller got back to me and said that the price is firm. I think I'm going to go ahead with it assuming the car checks out though, the maintenance records are crazy! Always taken to the dealer, in fact it's currently at the dealer getting the full 100k tune-up (seller said it's about $700).

Good choice on my part? I'm going to go look at the car on Sunday.

The price sounds fair pending condition. I find it odd or surprising that through three owners they all put low mileage on the clock. Here's my problem though... for a car that old you can find a Gsr for the price even if more mileage and in great condition.

Good price. I paid $4,700 for my 99gs with 53k. So the price you're offering seems pretty fair.

Jesus, if it was a gsr ok, maybe 35, but for an ls? Over priced imo

i know i know...but from where im at i wanted a car now..lol but not in a crappy body shape...i went for quality on the body more then the power itself and this car had no accidents well that im aware of. plus i always wanted a integra regardless what model it was. If i would have known more about these cars i would have second guessed and kept looking.

I picked up my 1996 - one owner - with all maintenance done at an Acura dealership w/record. 100k miles, $2300. I put about $300 in regular maintenance stuff as soon as I got it home, so that I could trust the work.
-air filter
-pcv valve
-clutch fluid
-coolant
-oil change and filter
-plugs, wires, rotor, dist. cap
-brake job
-timing belt
-new headlight bulbs

The only thing necessary for an Ontario Mechanical Safety check was an e-brake cable adjustment, which I left alone because it works - just a tad loose.

I'd wait a month, and offer 3500. I can imagine it will be there for a while, being non-GSR.

Lol ^^^

Not to mention there is no rust, as mine was never winter driven. I just pulled off the wiper arms and sanded/painted them because they had been a bit weathered. No rust, just stainless coming through.

Cloth > Leather IMO
Still has a 6-CD changer cartridge.

Well, that was really really disappointing...

Went out to see the car today and it was a complete crapmobile. The paint was entirely faded and all scratched up, as was the interior. The trunk was stuck and took about ten minutes to get open. Pulled up the liner and there was water all in the spare tire bay. Started the car up and it sounded like a semi truck... And shifts were pretty bad as well.

Wouldn't pay over 2 grand for the car, even that's iffy...

That was a wasted 4 hour round trip

I hate when that happens too. I waste my gas to see what I thought was a perfect car, but in reality, its complete crap.

Also, this is why I like to deal locally. I'll drive max of 45 min away.
