What happens when we die?

What are everyone's feelings on death? What do you think happens? Do you believe in heaven? If so, what do you think it is like. Do you think we know that we are dead?

If you think about it in a truley logical standpoint, god, evolution, or the fact that we could be in a dream, or our own dream, all make about the same ammount of sense.

Ok, so you say, GOD dosnt exist, thats impossible, we evolved from monkeys. Ok, now heres a simple way to argue against that, where did the monkey come from, where did the earth come from, where did the matter in the air that over millions of years created earth come from, and i could go on forever. Just keep asking yourself where stuff came from untill it gets to space itself, and your done. What the fuck can you say then? That space and matter just popped into the air?

Although i definitally dont believe in either, god is just as logical and likely as "the big bang" or any other retarded theories. However we got here we will never find out, and for that exact reason, we will never know what happens when we "die."

honestly i understand that u may not agree w/ the big bang theory, but to call it "retarded" is a bit ignorant and close-minded to those who do believe in it.

im not taking sides either way (its my business wut i believe in), but when it comes to religion/etc i really think that u should be a bit more easy-going about it, or its gonna turn into a HUGE flame-war.

think about it...all the major wars of history...what did they all have in common? they all had something to do w/ religion (not always the major reason, but still had its part in it).

shows jus how strong religion is to ppl...

Sorry man, the post wasnt meant to be hostile.

I dont believe in either, i was just stating the obvious [in my opinion], that God is just as logical as the big bang theory, and what i meant to portray, is that i think they are both illogical, due to the fact that both of them have 0% evidence. In fact, if i was forced to believe in one or the other, god would seem to be the obvious choice, because if you trace every question to its orgin, you come up with the question of "what was there before the big bang...". I'm sure most would presume nothingness, and nothingness is just as realistic as a "god" figure.

Just remember, what they teach in school and biology is far from the truth. Its a bunch of opinionated theories that are honestly being forced down your throat. You study them because its the most realistic scenario "they" can think of. I mean come on, they are telling me to believe that an eye formed from sophisticated bacteria and cells over millions of years and a brain just popped out of nowherer to process the thoughts an eye see's. Its far to complicated to just "happen." I've talked with numerous teachers i've had over the years, and they all are dissapointed by the textbooks. Whatever is published and the public education system etc choose, is what you will learn, despite its factual evidence or theory and opinion.

But thats just my opinion :)

Nothing is hostile, he is just voicing his opinon just like you were allowed too do...everyone is cool, but everyone has different opinons

opinons are like assholes, everyone has them and they all stink!

Oh and by the way, i just feel its semi-important to mention that the human mind/brain can only comprehend to a certain extent. I dont mean to sound like some nerd or something, but i've always had a passion for evolution/god/how we got here/etc.

Anyway, just imagine you lived in a 2D world. Everything you did/saw/etc etc was all 2D. It would be literally impossible for your brain to picture or put together what 3D would look like. Now, put yourself in that situation. We live in a 3D world. Our brain was only meant to be built or whatever to see in 3D. It is theroized that there are 11 or so dimensions. Something to think about.

I just used the whole 2d/3d/hypercube thing as an example. What im really getting at is the fact that our brain just may not be capable of comprehending what is outside of everything, god, or the big bang theory. Everything on earth or that we see has a beggining and an end (point a to point b, age 1 to death etc).. and for that exact reason, we cannot comprehend what "Infinite" is. Because we cannot comprehend infinite, how can we possibly comprehend the big bang theory. So, in essence, what i am getting at yet again, is that all the major theories of how we got here are all equal . None can be proven, and none will.
