mine sits under half. Im using Mishimoto Liquid chill and a OEM thermostat with a dual core rad. with the mishimoto thermostat it would take a super long time to warm up and then it would cool off at highway speeds

If its under half but over a quarter don't sweat it. Unless it goes over half. It shouldn't fluctuate noticably when driving. If it does somethings wrong with thw fans or you live in the mojave desert.

I can watch my temp fluctuate as the thermostat opens and closes when driving. I don't use the stock gauge though,

Mine sits just under half way. BUT, I did a small customization to my thermostat to insure it NEVER overheats. I drilled small 1/8 inch holes around the perimeter of the thermostat flange so just in case the thermostat doesn't open properly, the holes act as a safety bypass. The temp always stays on the cool side, and I live in sunny South Florida !!! The fans come on & go off when they're supposed to, so I got no complaints.

So mine sits at about 1/4 in the city and about 1/8 on the highway. Is that too low? Or is my coolant system just really good?

it should sit a few notches below that middle mark. if ur still having problems with the temperature bring it to 757 Automotive Specialist and we can figure everything out. i see you in norfolk. until then you should start the teggy and keep rpms at 2k to 3k until ur fan comes on the confirm the fan relay and motor are working properly. i know here lately its be a little chilly and my fans have not been needed to cool us down.

my top hose just popped cuz it had a slit on it. but i just replaced it. and the temp needle is almost to the middle wen i drive it. and thats with the fans not working either. but i just bought the belt for it.

just wondering what u guys average before i drive it again and it over heats a third time

i see your in norfolk, if u still run into cooling issues. 757 Auto is right around the corner for help. from what you posted i think she is operating as normal now.

Mine only usually warms up at stop lights right below half, then when I get moving 35 MPH+ the gauge goes down to almost the line, sometimes below the line, and highway it'll drop to C. What gives? Coolant temperature sensor?
