Mine scrapes sometimes, not as much as the diffuser though. Hit a rabbit one night and the splitter fucked his shit up, thought it was broken for sure but it was all good.

Sunday, wrinkle coated the valve cover
Monday, pulled out the A/C components and the cruise
Tuesday, tossed in the new gasket and bolted down the valve cover with the new stainless set the seller finally decided to ship
Yesterday I pulled the power steering (nowhere NEAR as hard to turn as my 88 Sentra wrack and pinion was btw) and looped the system via a well written how-to I found here (yes, I know what a search function is and tend to use it)
And today I replaced the two piece coolant hose that remained along with the PCV hose when I put in the CAI with a solid one piece section. Tomorrow will be both front CV's and every God forsaken bushing in the front end.
All on a 95 with 240+. Gotta love a good project car...

Yesterday change out Conductor Plate, With new trans filter and oil.
Next few weeks planning to do tune up, cabin and air filter, fuel filter and motor/trans mount. Maybe A/C Flap Actuator is also on my to do list.

Getting my priority straight on what I need to finish. Still looking for a set of B16/B18C5 ITBs not going to spend more then $800 for used set. Looking at Toda, TWM, Jenvey and or A-Spec (If I ever come across).
