what are the chances of making 250hp on an '00 ls

You would need injectors. You don't need a fuel pump if yours is working. FMUs are pieces of shit. This is the 21st century, we now use computers.

if you have the funds there was a thread on here a while ago about a fully built ls that was pushing like 220 i think? maybe it was only 200 but it was between those. your better off just swapping in a mildly built gsr motor. that is if you want to go n/a. if not turbo that bitch and youll be just fine. :thumbup:
then his turbo set up must have sucked or he had it on a low psi ... u can EASILY get a stock ls turbo to reach 250 with good tunning

Then don't do it if your going to be worried about it. If you do it right, it's not going to shorten it's life a significant amount.

anything from stock will shorten its life....cause lets face it, honda didnt build the motor with plans for it to be turboed, etc....now if your trying to get 250HP from a N/A build, you better be ready to shell out ALOT of money and time and do ALOT of research....your best bet would be just to turbo it and get a really good tune for durability and longevity.

yea i think im going to go with turboing it, ive always wanted to own a boosted car, but any suggestions as to things i should get to prepare for it? gauges etc i know i want to get my exhaust matched to the downpipe but other then that any kit suggestions to take a look at?

i dont know about 250 without touching the block but i had a 95 civic with a ls b18b1 in it with a b16 tranny b16 intake manifold and a ebay light crank pully intake and headers and lighten flywheel ( gettto done by cutting the stock flywheel at my mechanics were they cut the disk brakes at.. let me tell you i would rip gsr's all day long redlinig at 6800 rpm

b18b1 $300 <------ you already got this
b16 tranny 450
manifold 30 (craigslist)
ebay crank pulley (30)
headers 100
intakeke (ebay) 25 k and n filter 40
if you want to go a little crazier shave the head (about 75-100) at local machine shop this will higer ur compression
remeber even though the ls isnt high in horespower it is torque for wha tit is


just a littly advice thats all and if you boost it dont use a b16 tranny gears are way to short in my opinion and dont shave the head b/c u want lo compression for boost
