Anyone using a velocity stack?? I've read numerous threads on via, Sri, and ice boxes but dnt c much in velocity stacks. I've seen pics of wht looks like Sri's with the velocity stack on the end in place of the filter. Is this any good?? Any thoughts would b great. Thanks

No filter means contaminants are free to enter the combustion chamber and do damage to the cylinder walls (dist, dirt, leaves, small rocks, etc). I would not drive around with no filter unless you race your car and rebuild the engine after every event.

Stacks are good but you gotta be carful with them or just use it at the track or have a built in filter through the filter box so it won't suck nothing its not suppose to up.

I'm going comptech icebox and then making it have a stack come out the highbeam headlight when i get around to doing it.

This is mine, on the end of my Icebox-style intake.

they make filters that go on the velocity stack....

they aren't horn shaped to force the air in, they are shaped that way to keep turbulence to a minimum and have smooth flow through the intake, there really is no point unless your boosted.
