valve cover gasket sealant drying time?

How long should I let my gasket sealant dry on my valve cover before cranking my motor?

Like 30 mins r 1 hour man... I jst adjusted ma valves today nd left it dry for 30 mins

Ok soooooo: I finished up and the motor cranked right up. There is a loud rattling noise and I left the back timing cover off so that I could see the timing belt. It's got a pretty bad vibration to it. It's wobling back and forth about 1/2 an inch. There's also a pretty loud ticking noise. I only had a 3/8 ratchet to tighten the tensioner. Can I just put it in tdc, loosen it and then re-tighten it?

most of the time im starting the car before i finish tightening shtuff.
