alright, its been a while since i've been on here, so here's the update. got my 89 integra stripped down, the interior redone. the rear floor now extends to the front seats, and holds 2 rockford fosgate p2 10's in a custom fosgate pro box, hitron 2,000 watt amp, my battery which i relocated, and a custom rear strut tower brace. all i like is the seats and carpet up front. i pulled out my motor and tranny, and i am in the process now of tucking my wiring harness and cleaning up the engine bay. i bought a d16a1 out of an 87 integra before i realized that the 86 and 87 were vacuum advance and 88 and 89 were electronic advance, and my wiring harness wasn't going to plug into the dizzy and the dizzy couldnt be swapped from on head to another. i pulled the head off of my old motor, and had a valve job, port polish, and re-surfaced, and about to put it onto the 87 block. the 87 block has 120k on it, and it ran great when i pulled it out of the donor integra, didnt smoke, knock, etc. i have installed a new flywheel, clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing. it aint nothing high dollar and special, the $90 clutch kit from autozone thats got a lifetime warranty. i have ported out the intake manifold at work, and made a custom cold air intake, 3 inch diameter, and the filter sits about 10 inches lower than the original air box. i got some 440cc fuel injectors pretty cheap from a friends totaled prelude. i am looking now for a header, then taking the integra to a local shop and having some very custom exhaust welded in place, lol. i am ordering a new timing belt, head gasket, and p/s belt this next week's paycheck. i also need new motor and tranny mounts/bushing. any advice on where to get these? i haven't had any luck so far. I am planning on in the future to do some more interior work, and do a custom dash, and lower the car about 1.5 or 2 inches and get a wider wheel and tire. i know almost everyone hates the g1 tegs cause they are ugly, and slow, but i dont give a shit, lol. i like them because they are different, and no one has them. i have only seen 3 g1 integra's since i bought mine, and one of them i robbed the motor out of. if anyone has any advice, tips, or anything at all i'd greatly appreciate it.

my motor mount bushings, the rubber inserts, are worn slap ass out. everywhere i've called and looked sells only the entire mounts, but they dont look like the originals. i checked out hasport and the only mounts they have for the g1 teggies is mounts for a B-swap. help?

thanks for the help guys. i'm wanting to get just the inserts, and make new mounts myself. i've made alot of stuff for this integra and i want to have it as custom as it can get. i'm going to try and get some more pictures up here soon so everyone can see my progress so far. please leave any comments or advice, anything that could help make this build better and more fun. thanks guys

unfortunately not, and i daily regret selling my g1. i have the greddy d series turbo mani, with the downpipe. it moves the turbo to the left so you can keep ac and ps. we were running a volvo turbo on it on a civic. roughly 6lbs as that's the factory setting for the internals on that turbo.

bov and wastegate are internal. intercooler is an option but not necessity. plus, i think u'll have to have quite the small one to fit g1 tegs. in short, no intercooler, and i dunno where my steel braided lines for oil went either. but all that stuff is custom for each app anyways

since the BOV and wastgate are internal, how hard would it be to tune after installation? u said it pushed around 6 lbs, would that be safe for stock internals?

just about any motor can safely hold 6-9lbs on stock internals. after that it gets iffy. the tune has to do with ur fuel handling the extra air. if i remember correctly, you dont even need an fpr. just up the injector size (one of the mitsubishi injectors plug up to honda and are enough to handle 6lbs. )and i'm thinking the stock pump can survive also..... but it's been a minute since i messed with it, and i'd have to check further for better details.
