looks like it's all pretty old but as long as everything is in working order you got a good deal.

You see that " T " on the exhaust side, Turbonetics. Garrett and Turbonetics mix.

ah is that good or bad?
also wat numbers on it could tell me how old it is?
and there is no shaft play
but now just gotta get the money for the rest of the parts

the exhaust tempereature exceeds 1k degrees.. a fire isnt even close to that, those are just signs of use

OP: id suggest rebuilding it, you can get the kit for like 70bucks and do it your self.

Im not sure about the turbonetics thing, but if its true turbonetics is not as good as garret, id rebuild it as well or look for a garret exhaust housing.

there is nothing wrong with turbonetics and garrett is not better or worse. they are competitors making some of the best turbos you can find. See what the cartridge it is. Simply look around for serial numbers and google to find out how ol and specifications
