ight guys its been a while since ive posted lately. ive made some changes to my teggy. it was stock height silver with silver motegi m7. now its droped with OBX coilovers, type R wing, Tenzo R racing seats and The new Aspen White Subaru paint and painted the M7's Black. ..........anyway to the point. im fixing to do a cheap turbo build. i have n 88 chrysler conquest which i am making a race car. it comes stock with a TD05 w/ front mount. im gonna use the td05 and IC on the teggy with an SSautochrome DSM Manifold. also some 525cc inj. im also buying a tial 38mm bov and piping off a freind with a manual FMU. im also going to get the oil line off a 1st gen DSM to tap into my oil pan for the turbo feed line. im hoping this will add some nice power with good reliability. im just lookin for about 8lbs of boost since im on stock internals. 210-230 hp is fine with me. if yall could please give me your comments on the work. if im missing something please let me know. i owuld appreciate any input given. thanks.

Injectors, tap the oil pan, oil lines and shit, filter for the turbo, fuel pump, good tune up and compression test on the motor before you do anything, manifold and down pipe

what fmu will you get from your buddy

i cant think of the brand right now. i know its just a manual FMU. i think i have to turn a nossel or what not to get the right fuel goin threw or what not. he said he would show me how it all works. ive had some people say its better than a full electoric management for this small setup. i can use the same filter that comes on my short ram right? its a weapon R cone. i just had all the belts and stuff replaced. the timing belt poped a month ago. the replaced the belts and checked my head. everything should be pretty good on the top side. i will do a good compression check tomorow.

a manual FMU, I never heard of a manual one... I'd get a Apexi S-afc or hondata. I think what you have is a manual boost controller, but I could be wrong. The Weapon are cone would work if its clean and the right size.

How many miles you got?

114000. its a 99. kinda high miles but it runs good. i had never heard of that fmu either but he said its not electronic. it looks similar to a big bov or a wastegate but it connects to the fuel lines.

yeah it does sound iffy. the apexi safc sounds nice. hondatas a little bit pricier than the apexi. im on a 1500$ budget. hopefully i can pull this small turbo install off. thanks for your help!

I'd think again about getting an SSautochrome manifold, heard many horror stories about their parts.

THREAD

I've seen threads on T-I tearing up SSautochrome, too.

first....a TDO5 turbo can be a whole lot of things. There is alot of differences between the 14B, Small 16g, big 16g, 18g, etc. which are all labeled the TD05.....Correct me if I'm wrong, but you said you're gonna use a SS Autochrome DSM manifold? A DSM manifold isn't gonna fit the teggy. Depending on which turbo it is you have, you should probably just try to source a greddy manifold as they use a Mitsu TD05-18G on there teggy turbokits. Mitsu TD05 turbo's also have internal wastegates so that manifold is obsolete and the external wastegate is not needed. If you could find a Greddy manifold and downpipe it would make your life alot easier.

sorry i didnt clearly say the manifold from SS is and integra manifold but its called an integra dsm manifold. its the td05 off of my chrysler conquest tsi. im not sure the exact name. im trying to keep this as cheap as possible but i also have heard some horrors about SS. i just cant find anyone else who makes the manifold for that td05 on the teggy. the conquest is an 87 but the td05 is perfect. i just want this set up to give good power and good reliability as well. thanks for your input guys. its helping alot.
