I need more help guys, I was wondering i got this ecu off of a friend that was on a tbod ls teg tuned for 9lbs 650cc injectors. and im thinking of running 450cc injectors will that make a diference. and now the other ? i had bought a fmu and a fpr should i put them both on or one or the other or dont with that ecu.?

The Ecu might be a bad idea cause you could mess up the air/fuel mixture. You should really tune the ecu with a dyno, if you wanna go affordable with an Apex-i S or V-AFC. As for the FPR and FMU you could both on at the same time but you should do all that at the dyno, and with 450cc's you're gonna need a walbro in-tank fuel pump.

you should do the math and figure out what injectors would be best to run on that amount of boost. the fmu shouldnt be used to compensate for the amount of cc's your injectors will or will not flow. fmu should more or less be used to "fine tune" the amount of fuel being flowed. aka if the math you do comes out to a cc injector that does not exist than use the fmu to dial in the exact cc's that you need for that amount of boost you will be running :thumbs up

450cc injectors don't mean that your going to be putting out 450cc/min all the time, that's just what they max out at. They should be fine because I doubt the 650cc ones were running at 100% at all.

um... yeah you definitely can not run that ecu without the same size injector it was set for. period. why not just get tuned? fmu's suck and are a cheap way to do complete a cheap setup. quit buying unneccesary parts. it costs about 400 bucks to get a solid dyno tune, do that. if you dont have the money to spend on tuning, then you dont need to be turbo. Forced induction vehicles are not for the limited budget. things are expensive and its costly to replace things when somehting breaks.

^^^I agree on tuning and it's easy to say spend 400 and go get it tuned but i'll say that i've turbo'd cars for 400 dollars, so I know what it's like to try and do things cheap. There's nothing wrong with being on a low budget and wanting more power in my eyes, just be prepared if things don't go as planned.

stock injectors and stock fuel pump should even be in the same sentence as turbocharging. you are just asking for something to fuck up. seriously. i know this has been said a million times, but:
fast and reliable is not cheap
fast and cheap is not reliable
cheap and reliable is not fast

so pick what you want. as for me i picked fast and reliable. i skimped out on tuning on my first setup and it blew my motor after 2 months. now i have a fully built motor and taking no chances. i spent the money to do everything right. now my car is fast AND reliable.

Oh no way, you can never use stock injectors. There's just not enough flow. All honda B and D series injectors flow 240cc. That is not enough at all. Shit those injectors are being stretched for the ITRs.

Don't use that ECU tune with those injectors. If it is tuned to run 650cc injectors, and you just stick it in with some 450's, then you will need to increase all your fuel trims, especially under boost or you could run into a dangerously lean condition. The 650's flow alot more so they can use alot shorter pulse width to get the same fuel a 450 would under longer pulse widths

AFC's and VAFC suck as well. They intercept your airflow sensor signal and modify it to trick your ECU into putting more fuel in. When doing this, the ECU goes to a different part of the fuel/ignition timing table to get the required amount of fuel that the airflow sensor requests which causes it to also modify your ignition timing in the process. If I was to get an AFC, I would definitely want an ignition timing controller........but for the price of getting both of those.........Just get Hondata!

thanks dc2GSR, youve made more sense to me then anyone else who thinks im a cheap ass and retired bc i just want to drive the thing and DONT care if the motor blows.

but thanks
