Today I volunteered for..

Well as some of you know I am active duty USAF stationed in Alaska.

Today I volunteered for a 4 month TDY to the desert, the desert could be any number of places (kuwait, iraq, saudi, turkey)

I will know this week sometime if I will be going.

I just thought I would share.

Why did I volunteer you ask?, because you won't so someone has too

I am a former squid myself.the desert aint that bad,cheap gold,expensive taxis,no one uses deoderant(that part sux ),nice fake rolexes...
I didnt know you were AF.I gotta friend that is going to her tech school right now ,and just graduated like a week ago from boot,or basics or what ever the AF calls it.

aint nothing wrong with raising your hand,I was notorious for stepping forward.even though it went against what Navy stands for

Good job Darrel. I am sure your suprevisor was happy that you volunteered. Any idea what kind of job you will have in the desert? I am on my second year of AFROTC so I am learning. lol
