Toda Replica Header

I copied and pasted from my build thread.



"Well, received my 2.5" stainless pipe. And started hacking on the header. Going to take out the bend and 2" pipe that PLM stuck in here. Can tell my car choked down when I put this header on. This is a rep of the Toda header and Toda has the same size piping. :/ So i would be doing the same thing to a $1000.+ header if it was like this. Will post finish product tomorrow.






Circle for the flange.

Oval the end to slip over the 2-1 merge snuggly.



Please excuse my welds!!!. Was suffering from bad ground and stainless welds alil different than mild steel. Especially with a mig welder. Don't have the tig machine set up yet. :(

That what I did. And it was a much needed improvement!!! Easily done..

No dyno results of the change. But when you can feel your engine fall on its face after you make 1 change - you know where the problem lies.
I haven't made it back to get retuned since changing the header. Plus I also changed to a 00-01 ITR intake camshaft from 97-99 ITR intake camshaft. But not at the same time as the header swap.
I've datalogged it, but I don't play with the timing while street tuning due to not knowing if the timing "+,-" is helping or hurting.

I see. I'll be the asshole and say it probably didn't do much. Never heard of any problems with it being restrictive...hell, even my last header made power and I assure you it was way more restrictive..than probably anything on the market. that sight taper you cut off is actually what helps keep some torque while not sacrificing too much hp up top. But hey, if you say it caused your car to bog and your mod fixed it, more power to you.

Everyone has a opinion like their asshole. Lol I dont knock anyone from that. But it definitely bogged, especially in the lower rpms. Wideband was also reading wicked rich when the Toda rep(unmodded) was 1st installed. But to each their own. I just told what was a issue with using it on my current setup, which is a stock jdm itr engine.. And wouldn't recommend this header to anyone without modding it 1st....
