tire/wheel fitment

So i found some 14 inch wheels that are 14x8, what size tires will i need to fit that? I dont want to ride around like a vw with stretched tires that are 2 inched thinner than my wheels, if anyone could help i'd appreciate it, thanks

I applaud you for not jumping on the tire stretching bandwagon.

8 inch wide I'd expect you'll need a 215 or 225 width tire, possibly more. Depends on the height ratio's available for the particular tire you want.

My tires i have on now are 195/65/14, need new tires anyway so i was wondering what would work best!!
I want these wheels not sure white or black though!!

my 8in wide 07 tl type s wheels have 235's on them and should have come with 245's imo....i wouldnt do anything less than 225

well i run 205's on a 6 and a half in wide wheel.....so if i had 195's i would do the 6in wide wheel

My OEM 14x5.5s have 195/60/14s,,

heres a 205/40 on an 8" wide

just remember, some brands have stiffer sidewalls than others so it wont look so stretched. if i remember correctly, general street/performance tires have a fairly soft sidewall.

right now, i have different tires up front than the back. the stretch isnt as noticeable due to the stiffer sidewall. as a result, i now rub a bit while at full lock.
