I want to know where to get a good quality HID kit. I'm looking to get 5500k-6000k, anything else after that is too blue and isn't as bright.

I bought my 6000K HID kit from there about a month ago and no problems so far. If you're located in the OC area then no need to wait for shipping. 8)

Nah I live in the DEFFDUB (Dallas Texas) but I'm pretty patient when it comes to waiting on parts to come.

i got mine from ddm tuning and it took them 3 weeks just to get them in the mail. Which is from china. I got the 35w 6000k and its almost just a little too blue. When these bulbs crap out i will get 5000k because they are closer to a true white. The lifetime warranty is nice, but the fact that it took so long to get out bothered me. and i called to ask them why it took so long to ship, they told me they would be put in the mail the next day. which didnt happen for another week.

Just a precautionary tale for you.

5000 is true white. I think 4300 is typical bulb color. I like the blue tint. Call me a ricer, but I think it makes the car look good.

I just made the switch from 8000k to 5000k...WELL WORTH IT. I really liked the straight blue, but law enforcement did not (obviously). However, anything that high does start to lay too much blue and its almost as if you're driving with no headlights in rainy weather (making it really difficult to see the lines on the road). I think the 5000k just gives the headlights a really clean look and still a good improvement.

4300k is used by car manufacturers because it provides the most true-to-life colors and has the most output. As you get higher in kelvin rating, you get less visibility.

back to topic, you can go with ddmtuning, just know you may deal with some unwanted waiting time. The cheap prices and lifetime guarantee is nice.

Yeah, thats why I don't want anything higher than 5500 or 6000. I think it looks tacky IMO.

Ive run 2 different sets of HIDs on my car, the 2nd set because I wanted it to be a little whiter. Both times ive had the slim ballast, the first time I had a 55W, and the second time now I have a 35w. I liked them both, no issues for over a year. My friend runs a set in his civic as well for over a year daily driven, snow and all. No problems!

Best thing yet, I paid $30 shipped for my 2nd set. $45 for the first.
