Call it depression, or whatever. But, since my wife decided to take our daughter away from me, I've been the most confused and loneliest father in the world.

This is my little girl, Alessa Lynn Seal, who is just a little over 2 years old. I miss her more than anyone I've ever known.

here with "Pop Pop" as Alessa calls her. That's my dad, the man who taught me everything I know about cars.

daddy makin sure she is alright while she goes potty:

she was done reading the book:

more to come in next post...

my favorite recent pic:

she is the reason i'm still here. the reason i wake up in the morning and try my hardest to get her back. i want everyone to get a few good looks at the little girl that i have devoted my life to, since 2:08PM on January 30th, 2007 when I watched as all 19.3" and 8lb 12oz of her was born.

for those that have offered kind words, these are for you to see. to see why its impossible for me to comprehend life without her.

LOL @ reading a book on the potty and the ones where she's sitting in the shoe bin. That made me laugh. The Pooh Bear ones are cute. I made my youngest nephew wear one a few years back when he was too young to protest.

Favorites: 4th, 6th, and very last shot.

She has really pretty eyes. Very cute girl. =] I hope everything works out for you guys.

thank you. let me tell you, this little girl is SMART. she just turned 2 a few weeks ago, and she can count to 10 (i'm not joking) she can create 3 and 4 word sentences, CLEARLY, knows all her basic colors (red, green, pink, blue, orange, yellow, white, black)

she is fully capable of pulling her pants down, and setting up her potty by herself (she'll put the greed "seat" on the big seat of the toilet) and then peeing, asking for a wipe, and actually wiping herself. she'll then proceed to pull her pants back up, and walk around to the side of the toilet and FLUSH IT!

she knows a LOT of animals (cats, dogs, birds, beaver, horse, buck/deer) and insects (she'll say: bug, spider, worm, etc.)

she knows how to light up a room, she'll ask for "light on" and then start reaching for the light switch.
she knows all the characters in Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, etc. She knows who Tinkerbell and Cinderella are (she calls Tinkerbell "binkabell" and Cinderella "lella")
she obviously knows where pretty much every part of her body is (eyes, nose, hand, arm, foot, leg, knee, elbow, ear, hair, tummy, butt etc.)

this is just the tip of the iceberg. every doctor's appointment we've taken her to, all the doctors say she is extremely advanced for her age. as she's known most of that stuff since she was 18-19 months old.

Really?? My friend's son just turned two and he still pees on the cabinets. I'm not sure why. lol I think he thinks it's funny. He'll only use the potty whenever he feels like it. She has been trying to potty train him for the past couple months, but he'll have his good and bad days with it.

As for knowing all her colors and counting to ten already, that is impressive. I have a few friends with kids about Alessa's age and the few that are actually interested in learning have only gotten up to three, some five. It might not seem like a big deal to some people, but I think that once you've gotten to know them and have seen them grow up, it's pretty neat when they learn new stuff. I was playing color flashcards with a friend's son and he said, "Blue!" I thought he knew the difference until he randomly pointed to different colors and said, "Blue!" lol He's adorable and where he should be, though. lol

You know what's a good investment?? The "Your Baby Can Read" program. I haven't figured out exactly how it works, but it does seem to work. My other girl's son is just a little over two years old and can point out words (hi, clap, arms, baby, etc.) and say them (not clearly, but he'll point out the right words every time). I thought he was just memorizing the cards, but when we switched them up and tried to confuse him to see if he really learned, he'd still manage to find the right words we asked him to. It's pretty pricey, but so far it seems to have been a great investment.
