Obviously don't have pics yet. None of the auto stores have the red vht wrinkle I want so I'm ordering some. Should be here early next week

Alright, ladies! Finally got around to painting the VC. Got my friend Kyle to come over and put the first coat on for me, because I've never used a rattle can other than on my tail lights and that didn't go too well. haha. Wanted to watch someone with some experience first. IMO it looks fine with only one coat, but we put a second one on anyway. Also changed my cam seal.

Here's when I first started stripping the VC, used some paint thinner. Wasn't working too well. lol.

Then I wised up and got some Airline Stripper from Autozone. Here's only after having it on there for 6 minutes.

After second coat, now it's drying. I'm not gonna bake it in the oven though. I'm letting it dry in the sun (it's like 98 here right now) then once it's dry i'll put it on the car and let the heat from the engine cure it while running.

Yes I know it's wrinkling too much around the Honda lettering. These blank spots started appearing while he was painting it so he went over it again a little too heavily. I don't really mind though as this is my first painted VC. I'll probably do it again later on when I build the motor. I've also seen people that say don't use primer with the VHT wrinkle paint because it's not needed. One of my friends actually has his painted gold and it's been on there for going on 2 years. No cracks or chips in the paint either and he never primed it. I didn't prime mine either, we'll see how it works.

Last pic! New PWJDM cam seal :D (Yes I RTV'd the hell out of that thing)

More updates as the come along! I'll probably be starting on the body repair next here in a month or so when I have some money saved up.
