Ever since then, I've been rocking the plate on the front. Just like cabezz said, if you don't break the law, they won't bother you. That's what made me get an AEM intake and a DC Sports header. I got pulled over and the cops checked my engine for illegal mods. They didn't do shit cuz my intake and header were C.A.R.B. legal. And they also can't bust me for my WS2 cuz it's way under 95db.

im pretty sure my shit isnt over 95 db either but he used the fact that its modified at all to pop my hood and then i got another ticket cause my intake doesnt have a carb number. Seriously this guy was a fuckin asshole and thats all there is to it ... ive had this car for 2.5 years, been pulled over for a number of other moving violations (three times of which i had the bike rack on) and NEVER have i been given trouble due to my exhaust! 2 of the times i was rolled by chp too!

update:
made the appointment ... luckily the nearest inspection station is butte college so i only have to drive 8 miles instead of 45, basically all this is is a FORCED SMOG .... so i gotta bring $38, the ticket and registration ... they sign off once they determine my car is legit, and then i go to chp and they sign off the tint and no front plate
i just gotta hope it passes ... it almost failed last time but that was at a bay area test only station ... and i think its my dc header thats doing it cause the numbers werent that high before i put it on ... so imma take that off and i just gotta hope for the best.

my bro almost got thrown in jail becuase the cop said his exhaust was too loud. He made an apointment to the referee to get exhaust checked out, and the next day the cop pulled him over. my bro said he made an apointment to get it checked out, but the cop didnt believe him and threatened to take him to jail. SO the cop called the refereee to make sure
his exhaust in the end was perfectly legal
