i personally like Type 1's over type 2's but still a great buy. also i would have shaved those moldings if i had the opportunity w/ the body work you were already doing. never would i do it to a already painted car though lol. too much backwards work for something so little in my opinion.

keep it up!! looks clean

cheaper and more commonly found used. and better suited/designed for a DD type of drive. the type 2's have more dampening options and adjustments that i personally wouldn't even want to mess with. FF type 2's are more race/track inspired in design. Nothing better about the type ones as far as quality, its just what you want to get out of them!

Yeah I know man thats the only major thing that gets me when it comes to the aesthetics of my car. I WOULD polish them but they have stress cracks in them and im sure those wont go away. Being the person I am I know it'll annoy me if i do it and still see the imperfection in them so I wanted to get replacements. Im getting around to it soon though....lol

Yeah, had the same problem with one of mine. Did all the sanding and polishing but the cracks never went away. Now it bothers the hell outa me.

Started the coilover project myself to save some dollas. Here is an update.....


Worked on the back passenger side first and got that one in.

I was trying to work the drivers side after but the top bolt is seized and wont budge.....lame....



Right now (10:38am) I have put the back drivers side back on because of the seized bolt and im going to attack the front

Finished the front coilover install today and I found it easier than doing the back but thats probably because my rear left driver side is still seized up. Here are some pics......

Next couple of things I want to buy in this order.... camber kit (if anyone has any good suggestions), lower arm bar, lower control arm, and brake kit.
