Hey guys, need some help heres some info about me and my situation.

i daily drive a milano red gsr. owned it for about a year, i bought it as just a shell, found a nice gsr transmission for it, gave it a stage 1 exedy organic clutch with a 9lbs ACT flywheel.

b18b1 with a gsr tranny. I bought this motor for 150$ lol off someone i knew that knew someone (yeah one of those situations) so the motor lasted me about 8 months and it gave me a rod knock.

my teg has been sitting for a while and i have about 900$ to spend. i have 3 options i wanted to share with you guys and get different opinions and what i should do here.

i dont believe it is worth repairing, so i want to swap something else.

1. Get a jdm b18b from engine depot (700$)(i know i can just drop this right in.)

2. Get a B20 b/z (one with a P8R head) from Jdm engine depot (500-650$) High or low compression?( and would what would i need for this swap? i know i can just use my old LS(b18) intake.
bump my ls swapped gsr to a 2.0 and get a lil torque and displacement boost

3.also there is a local selling a b18c for only 300$, heres the catch, he said he pulled it cause it has no compression. is it worth it to make my teg a full gsr again?

Any help would be much appreciated guys, what do you guys think?

I'm really falling toward the b20, if jdm engine depot has one with the p8r head.

Oh and here's some pics of her

This was at how I had her dressed up for Honda Day 2013 Atco Raceway NJ

Sounds like you want the b20, go with that. To rebuild yours or the gsr will be more than $900.

yeah sounds like you want the b20, I would just try and lower the price on the no compression b18c1 and rebuild it but thats just me, it would be a little more expensive that just swap a b20 but it would have a full gsr swap and VTEC lol glwyb car's coming along nicely

The BEST option would be to get the gsr (head for $300 thank you and giggity) and run it with the b20 but the head may or may not need/want a rebuild. If its in decent shape you can run it til u need a rebuild. You'd need a tune and of course extra work converting to vtec but heres a sub option if you cant break budget that much. Buy and save it for later, run b20 for now. Between the options given though, go b20.

JDM Engine Zone in Clifton, NJ is $5 cheaper for the B18B lol

And I personally went to JDM Engine Depot. The engine room was pretty big and they also have a lot of JDM parts. The staff was very helpful and friendly too.
