While the thread is somewhat on the subject, are front and rear camber kits necessary? I bought just the front not thinking about it.

How low do you plan on going? Camber kits aren't necessary unless you are "slamming" your ride which is only a looks thing. Going too low isn't ideal for tracking your car. All you need is a front wheel alignment after lowering your car to save your tires from getting worn down.

The below links explains what happens when you lower your car in very good detail and also lets you know why a camber kit is not required...

Sorry about the link... their technical help section is currently down but when it's up, it'll convince you, you don't need a camber kit unless you intend on slamming the heck out of your ride.

I'm pretty much slammed right now (link to my build is on the first page). I've already got a skunk2 front camber kit. I didn't know if the rear one was necessary or not though, or if I should just get some LCAs and call it a day.

I'm not planning on slamming the car at all....the roads in my town suck for a slammed ride....I like the height it sits at right now but I just need to redo the whole suspension. The coil sleeves on the car and the shocks are pretty much toast so a whole new setup seems the right way to go.....if I don't need to get a camber kit I'll be happy

There are much cheaper options if you don't want it lowered. But if you ever want it lowered in the future, might as well get the coils while you have the money.
