Strut/suspension problem

I just put it back how i found it ;D. Not quit sure what i did wrong im going to check shopkey 5 for a diagram of the suspension and see what im missing. I will get back with you on that.

Seems to me im missing the bump stop and plate
But that still doesnt explain why the strut sticks inside the car

From what I could gather, you installed them very wrong. If my assumption is correct, you're risking the lifespan of your suspension parts by having them installed so improperly. I would find someone that will help you; that's what I did. It's like $200 for installation from a shop or $500+ for new suspension.

I'm 99% sure that is the problem. Though being that he was driving on them assembled wrong, he may have damaged them.

All that and I installed both bushings from the top. And I did that because they came off from the top.it still shouldn't affect why the strut is sticking up. I'm a jobless student I do not have money to take it to a shop. And I'd rather fix it myself so I know in the future. But I believe with that bump stop it clears a few inches on the strut bar and what's happening is its not there so it just pushes in that few inches and the fact that the strut is shot might have something to do with it. But still I am confused as I don't recall seeing the stopper on the other side of the car where I did not do the suspension.

The bump stop plate is probably missing and that could mean that you ripped the bump stops. Your dampers are installed incorrectly as you can clearly see one goes on each side of the top hat (They call mounting base).
Cat you take some pictures of what it looks like under the car. Hopefully you didn't mangle you suspension

The suspension is fine. Except that one side the coils is good but the strut is totally shot and it was when I got the car. So two new rear struts is the plan and I will have to buy bump stops
