Strut/suspension problem

Okay, As some of you know i have redone all the bushings and suspension on my car. I seem to have a problem. My car is lowered all the way on aftermarket coil overs on 15"rims . If i go in a little pot hole or a bump i bottom out. I think the after market coils are shot. And the struts. well i know for sure that one of the struts is toast on the rearleft side the strut is sticking up inside the car? I will take a pic. The assembly is the coilovers on the strut and the strut in the hole with the bushings and nut on the top is tightened all the way. Idk if something broke. or if i broke something or forgot to put something uderneath the bushings or what. But the top of the strut hits the plastic in the car when i go over little road mistakes. Anyone have any idea why this strut is sticking up inside the car?

The way you say aftermarket makes me assume that these are Ebay coils?

I have these http://www.slickcar.com/details/2652-coilovers.asp
Atleast thats what the sticker says on the coils.
Finally after attempting multiple times to upload images from my phone, here they are xD.

Idk if im a dumbass and forgot to put something in when i did the suspension. Or its just broken idk i really have no idea on this one. i took it apart and looked at it and everything looks fine i know the strut is shot tho because i can push down on it and it wont extend and its easy to push down. I have no funds to replace it right now but id like to know why its sticking up in the car.

It looks like you left the old bushings in the top hat and still put the new ones on. Did you forget your bump stops? A washer that slide down the shaft?

Now that I look again, it would appear your bump stop is installed toward the top of the shock, like you're using it as a washer for the bolt.

Questions:

Did you replace the old bushings in the top hat?

Did you place the bump stop in the correct location?

EDIT: I forgot you have coilovers, so I may be completely wrong since I only have lowering spring and shocks. Did they come pre-assembled

ok to answer your questons. i dont remember coming across the bump stop because i have coilovers. so i dont think i ever had to take it off. and the old bushings are out and i have brand new energy suspension bushings in. i just took a pic as is. i can shove those bushings in the little medal black piece or w/e but they will just pop out

But the bushings are on the same side of the top hat, not one in each side.

Did the coils come put together with top hats and everything, or did you have to reuse your top hat?

And with my setup, I didn't have a washer at the top of the shock

all the bushings are on the top. Maybe thats the problem. one is supposed to be on bottom and top. And i dont recall coming across a top hat when disassembling it.

EDIT: oh wait a minute there was a top hat. its just flat

From what I could gather, you installed them very wrong. If my assumption is correct, you're risking the lifespan of your suspension parts by having them installed so improperly. I would find someone that will help you; that's what I did. It's like $200 for installation from a shop or $500+ for new suspension.
Hopefully I helped you a bit
