Looking for my next Teg..
Planning to get a second car here in the next year. Not going to get rid of the DA, that is my little baby :) but I have decided I want a good sport sedan... I have had a Mazda 6, but hated the turn radius of it... now I am stuck on possibly getting money saved up for one of the above.

statistically and performance wise they are about the same. I am leaning towards the Evo ( just like the look better, but also like the Subbie too. figure this would make a fun poll and at the same time gather other's opinions...

Evo9s hold their value very well so expect to pay alot. I looked for a year before I found a graphite grey Evo9 MR with the appearance package (red stitching and polished wheels). I wouldn't get a Subaru if you want to work on it yourself. I loth the boxer engine.

Evo may be better but I will always say sti, When I finally buy a better car I'm going for an 07 sti.

Im a subaru guy. I love the WRX. Best sounding car, power, its blue and has a big ass wing. However, the boxer motor sucks. The design of the motor leaves it prone to cooling problems, maintenance is a bitch. On my parent's legacy outback the head gasket already blew before 80k. Another issue is the stupidity of how tings have to be tensioned. WRX, Legacy or Forester. When you work on say the power steering, this plastic cover must be tensioned just so or it will squeek. -__-.

That being said. for practicality i would choose the EVO. But if i were to do what i wanted and say fuck it. i would buy an STi.

Subaru..

Comparing subaru to Mitsubishi in terms of engine reliability, subaru wins hands down.

The both hold value really, really, well. But, subaru is cheaper initially.

And lastly, subaru is safer.

Subaru wins.

Yea I am still weighing options... Like the newer STI models, but love the evo 8 & 9.

there was a 2010 EVo MR at a local dealership marked at 27K looked like hot sex on a platter.

Performance wise I think it is a toss up... STI has 305 horse, Evo put 300 foot pound at the wheels... As far as repairs sounds like the boxer engine would be a PITA for a DIY guiy like me as it would be a whole new engine type to get accostomed to.

Seems like opinions on these are as split as perfomance stats, and everything else LOL. I have a feeling when I get to the point I have a descent down payment together it will come down to what I can find and finance...

Most auto review sites definitely give the STI a slight edge over the Evo based on the better safety despite the evo having better computer controls for tight handling...

Oh Decisions Decisions LOL... AT least I have time to check em out and figure out what one I like best... As far as years I'd be looking for 06 and above

No fucks given.
Oh... Didn't say you wanted an X before.... Get the Impreza. An Evo isn't an Evo without a 4G63 IMO....
