Now, if you look through those, you'll notice one trend: they're all about the same. You have some that go to lower frequencies, but most are around the same, some may have higher power handling, or different impedence, but in general, they're all about the same.

The only time I would NOT recommend the Blaupunkt over some of the other brands is if you're going to be running ONLY 6.5" speakers, and no 6x9's or subs.

So far, my setup is going to consist of:

6.5" Speaker baffles 2 sets of these
Low Pass Filter 2 sets of these
6x9" Speaker baffles 1 set of these
an Amp similar to this one (though I only have 1 output on my stereo head unit, so I'm not sure what I'll do...)

and as for speakers:
6.5" speakers 2 pairs
6x9" speakers 1 pair

and subs I still have not decided on...I'm not sure if I want to do 8's or 10's...because unlike most systems, my subs will be accent pieces, not the "hard-hitters" I'm thinking maybe a single 10 slimline.

My thoughts for a sub so far are coming to:
Sub 1 of these
in
a box like this.
and I'll probably stuff the box to the gills for a REALLY punchy sub. And I'm talking gut-wrenching punch from a single 10. ;)

I have an Alpine head unit and an Alpine amp, with two Rockford Fosgate subs. I don't remember what speakers, but the whole system sounds amazinggggg!! :D

www.crutchfield.com (they have good prices and a good selection, but I've never used them)

good headunits like stated Alipne,

Speakers are all personal preference and what sounds best to you, I run Type S and IMO sound better than Type R, but that's only cause I like clean tone speakers not heavy base, but if I had the money I'd get Focal, best of both worlds, but their components aren't cheap.. $600. I would just suggest going to speaker store and checking out what they got and what you like and fits with in your budget. I spent around $1500 on my Alpine and JL audio set up and I'm fully happy with mine.
