Ok got another question. Serioulsy starting to consider going after the LS because they are more abundant and I had a misunderstanding that I thought it was a SOHC instead of DOHC. My buddy cleared that up for me. Now my question is if I was to get the LS and put the VTEC head on it do i need to reconfigure the ECU or can i use the one that is in the car?

From what i hear ls/vtec is pretty expensive. I do like vtec but i would rather have boost, the ls motor turbos pretty easily. I think you would get more bang for your buck with a turbo, plus people say ls/vtec can be unreliable if you dont get it done right.broncofan said:well right now haven't considered much just because I need my grand prix to sell so I can get a car...just trying to see how difficult it would be to go VTEC with an LS. Well from the looks of it it might not be worth it to go to the LS/VTEC after looking through the thread LS/VTEC. Seems like a hefty project that is fairly expensive and since this is my first car I think I would hold out. I think I might go with the LS instead though because they are easier to find.

Go my rout Start off w/ a LS and then get a Port and pollished b16a head w/ intake manifold and BAM! LS/VTEC
