I was browsing Craigslist for some parts and I stumbled across this. "FULLY BUILT LSV."

Craigslist AD said:
ls block open deck 85 mm darton sleeves, forged eagle rods, forged arias 9-1 85 mm pistons, micro polished ls crank, arp bottom end bolts, acl race bearings, cometic 85 head gasket, b18c1 p72 gsr head full head job done at portflow with supertech race valves supertech dual valve springs and titanium retainers, full port&polish head job..has act 6 puck sprung clutch with extreme pressure plate, arp head bolts.. im sure there is other expensive parts in the build that i cant think of at the moment. 4 grand or best offer or trade for a clean dc gsr or em1 si, possibly would take a nice 03 or newer street bike or clean and well put together swapped honda. this engine was a 7500 dollar build and thats without having to pay for labor. have thousands in reciepts..oh the head also has TODA spec B camshfts and skunk2 pro series cam gears and it has a skunk2 pro series intake manifold.

my work is slow and the bills keep coming in so looking to sell fast or trade for something that can sell quick. keep your low balling down and before you message me asking why i want so much money for an engine do your research and understand about my build this is nothing like an average honda motor. not even close people.

He put $7500 into a LS/vTec motor? WTF! He didn't even build it with high compression.. he supposedly put forged internals in it.. at stock specs. (With a bigger bore.) That brings me to my second point, who the fuck spends $7500 on THAT? You could have a shop build a better motor for less!

And the color.. are green LS/Vtec motors common these days? Someone in the second gen forum posted pictures of his "FULLY BUILT LS/Vtec." and it was also green. I immediately assumed it was his motor because they're both "FULLY BUILT" and green. The shade seems a little off, and the guy never posted specs.. so who knows if it's the same guy.

I just find it ridiculous what some people spend money on, and what they expect to get out of their junk.

/End Hilarity. :thumbs up

If I were to spend $7500 on a motor, you can be damn sure it would put down some power. I can't see that thing making very much power in it's current forum. Around or under 200hp is my guess. My initial thought is that it's going to be making less then a vTec motor- because it's got lower compression. But it's got a built head. I figure it will even it out a little lol.

It would probably be a good motor to boost though. Sure as hell not for $7500 though. I can build a better motor for less, lol.

What kind of noob rocks a blue motor? A silver block/head with a little blue offset though, that would be nice. :thumbs up

Only the motor! And if I knew it was going to turn out that color I wouldn't have went with it lol. The paint can showed a darker color. -_-

Intake/Brackets are the only blue parts of the motor now. Valve cover was swapped out.

Could've been a motor built for boost Kris..I originally had a set of 85mm CP's for my build, but after takling to Laskey and a few other engine builders I came to the conclusion that 85mm isn't the best idea for a boosted B. You have head gasket sealing issues plus once the motor blows up your pretty much left with no other option but to find a new motor and build it. I know that a portflow job is not cheap, they want 1600 for this:

PortFlow port & polish, SuperTech Stainless Steel nitride coated valves, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, competition 3 angle valve job, surfaced to a mirror like finish and assembly.

He probabbly has 3k-3500 in the bottom end depending on who assembled it. Not sure how much the cams are, clutch is 500 bucks, its easy to wrap up 7500 real quickly. If he has the reciepts to back it then so be it.

I do agree that the hulk green block is a tad much though lol

I know the head probably cost a good chunk of change. But I still think $7500 was too much to spend to build that motor.

And I probably wouldn't have had a problem with it if it it wasn't that ugly shade of green, haha.

I think you're right. Boosting that is just about the only way you'll get your moneys worth out of it.
