soggy carpet?

NOOB
haha tell me about it!!

well it was nice out today and I think I solved the problem or at least part of it only time will tell for sure.

so here some pictures and I will try to explain but its fairly simple.

thats the sunroof

thats a zoom in on the drain hole

this is the rear drain area couldn't see a drain hole but just pour some water inside there.

this is where the water should drain out for the rear tubes. right behind the mud flap.

The drain is also right around the mud flap area for the front drain hole.

What I found was that that hose was disconnected so I simply put it back together.

I also removed the antennae drain hose and a plug on both sides of the trunk.

Well I'll go in to more detail in my experience.

As described above I found the cars carpet was soaked in some places.

Well the two front foot wells were dry today after three straight days of rain so was the rear passenger foot well.
The drivers rear foot well was still soaked though so I Did the sunroof drain test. All drained out as they should except for the one on the rear driver's side. (surprise surprise)
Well I found that all the water was draining directly in to the trunk. so I removed all the panels and reattached the drain hose. I ran the test again and it poured out on the ground like normal.

Now if you're asking yourselves why in the hell did this guy remove the antennae drain hose and plug and the other plug. well Theres an after market antennae that came with it (which looks like crap) that requires no drain hose. Still not enough reason? well the car had previously been in a rear end accident which as i discovered left some areas for water to leak in. So I figure that though I presume that the water getting in to the trunk will be much less there will still bee some water trickling in to the trunk so it'd be good to leave some way to let it drain out to have as little water as possible in the trunk.
