F*CK thieves. ive heard it said plenty of times but now i understand. i am lucky they didnt take more stuff like the pillar bar, the intake, speakers, the didnt take my sunglasses LOL. i guess they werent very smart either because they stole all the cheapy stuff but left the S2000 ballasts/ignitors. those alone are worth more than the total of what was stolen + damage. DUMBASSES

okay so car got appraised today. shitty thing is, when you install aftermarket parts insurance wants an "amendment" to the policy to cover(at a premium) these parts.
ive never done this insurance thing before, but i think im supposed to take the estimate that the appraiser gave me, to a shop and have them perform the work. the problem is, i dont want oem replacement parts like stock muffler and cd player.
how can i get insurance to write me a check instead of paying the shop?
would any shop not follow the insurance estimate, and instead do the work i want and give me the difference back?
i need help!!
