UUUHHHH-OOOOHHHHHHH...!!!
You Dont Have To Weld On All My Dc2 S I Taped The Out Side And Put Fiberglass On The On Side Wait To Fry Take The Tape Off Than I Put A Little Finish Bondo And Primer It And Your Done.. Thats Just If You Want To Save Alot Of Money

^Please don't do that, O.P. lol That's the ghetto. Welding is the only way to go. Tape/Bondo/Fiberglass to fill side molding holes should be compared to cutting your springs to lower your car. Don't do it.

As for the rust, pics would probably help us help you. That way we can probably tell you what the best approach to repairing it will be.

What if the rust is on the upper and lower wheel well and pretty deep? any idea how much it runs to get that taken care of? I bought my car cheap, and it came this way but it really drives me crazy... just wondering if anyones familiar with figures for that kind of work.

Post pics.

Depending on how bad it is or isn't, you can opt to repair it yourself or just get the damaged area replaced. I'm not sure how much it runs at a body shop. I've never been a huge fan of their prices.
