I hear ya man I've had many debates about it with friends/family. I don't trust a computer to directly control my throttle, braking, and steering inputs. I understand it may help with fuel economy and overall compactness but it just doesn't seem right. It's so cold and calculated; no soul. Not to mention when things go wrong with the computer...

its like the case of that womans bmw cruise control going apeshit and going full tilt, it was her and her kids versus a tree at 90 miles an hour, luckily they survived but it was just a sudden christine moment!

The driver and his family were driving when the car began accelerating and wouldnt stop, The floormat actually had slid up and got stuck on the pedal. The car drove into an intersection and had a collision. I think most of the people in the car died.

(dont ask me why he didnt turn the ignition off, sometimes with the adrenaline pumping you dont think of the simplest things)

I was just going to find that article about that....The guy was a state patrol man if Im correct, but still when you are in that situation with a screaming family, i would freeze, or freak out I suppose... scary stuff
