LOL OMG i saw this earlyer today and thought to myself wow. that is the holy grail of good cars gone rice. i saw the thread and the lnk and before i even clicked it i knew it lol. that was a waste of money that coud have been used for something worth putting on that car. This vehicle has a salvage Georgia title due to a minor garage theft but it exceeded a certain percent of the book value and so the insurance company deemed it totaled. Missing items were the following:

Complete front end (sheetmetal) with A/C Condensor and radiator

Airbags

2 Front Seats

Wheels

you should really look into what OEM cost not what street value is. thats why they can and will deem a car salvaged even though it wasn't in an accident.
just like flood damage

reason being especially with the type r.

Front end sheet metal (OEM):
front bumper = 293.45
front lip = 423.43
headlights = 458.83 x 2 (Left and Right)
corner lights = 68.32 x 2 (Left and Right)
fender = 361.35 x 2 (Left and Right)

total = 2493.88

air bags:
driver side air bag = 645.00
passenger air bag = 845.00

total = 1490.00

wheels:
OEM type R 15" = 404.78 x 4 (complete set)

total = 1619.12
-> note that tires are not mounted yet either.

and OEM seats. you'll love this one. you can't just buy the whole chair, its in pieces.

OEM type r seats alcantara (x2 for 2 seats):
bottom seat cover = 497.17
back seat cover = 428.18
bottom seat cushion = 243.70
back seat cushion = 297.72
headrest = 159.57

1626.34 per seat
total = 3252.68


grand total of $8855.68

that price is only for parts alone and note that this does not include tires as well.
so you tell if thats a joke or not... why it was considered salvaged.

mind you there were probably more parts taken, such as cluster rear bench and what not.
but these are just based upon what you quoted out from the auction. and these are LIST PRICE so yes they can be obtained cheaper but not by much and they are genuine oem products as well.

so for 9 grand in parts alone, i'd write the car off.
