Reverse gear grind

I'll let you know how it goes with my oil. The gears have 276k on them now. We'll see how far they go. :)

Reverse dosent have a syncro and it dog tooth... first dosent have a syncro eather... 1 to 2 does tho but my D16 always make a "grind" when I go to reverse

I'm actually getting really sick of this. Manual transmissions should not be so complicated and should be well designed. I would imagine if a transmission had a grind it would be because of someone's piss poor shifting not because they just "all do that". It doesn't sound like there is a fix other than just dealing with it. The transmission is very hard to get into gear when its cold and it jams into gear and its like the clutch isn't all the way out. But the problem is it is...I can adjust the cable either direction all the way and the end result is the same. The clutch is supposedly new and it doesn't slip. I might just take it to a transmission shop and see what they say.
