Just let us know what the shipping costs and we'll sort it out. Im leaning towards trying to do mine asap so i might pull mine if i can plan it out right. I hate doing extra work...

I dont know how the pictures will turn out since we both have different cameras. lol I have some at home already with setting info. Then theres also the variable like ambient light sources. I could try it somewhere dark.
Alright I'll get a quote on Friday. And I think you don't have to use your stock shield Tom. In the tutorial that they made on hidplanet, I thought they said to go to Home Depot and buy some type of material and use that to make the custom curved shield.

And the settings should be the same besides the WB. I remember shooting with limestand a while a go. Same exact settings but the WB was a little different. He has a canon mark iii.

The stock shield is just used as a template to make custom shields out of aluminum

This is the shield out of the halo projector. Only a slight curve but as long as it straightens my cutoff I might be content not having to do excess adjustment. It's thicker than the alumninum so cutting might suck a bit.

I know the aluminum is. This would be my out for simplicity. A guy I know from hidp spent up to 16 hours total adjusting one of his shields before. Might be the extreme end but I don't hve time to adjust for 4 hours even.

Yeah i cant even imagine how everyone else put in so many hours adjusting. I mean they wouldnt have done it if it wasnt necessary right? x.x

It is neccessary guys  lol jk

This is how mine appears if you see it with your eye. Actually it's a tiny bit dimmer, but not by much. Not sure of the distance, but it's pretty far lol.

i was thinking to myself it would be great to have a spare projector to make the shield and test it but that only helps a tiny bit cus i need it adjust on the projectors im USING. lol sob...

Only things i can think of are adjusting the curve, tilt forward or backward, up/down and left/right tilt. How the f*** they spend hours on that i dont know. I can see 2 hours.... :what: I for damn sure want to lower the shield to increase output intensity.

On a side note i snagged a projector lens off a smashed denji civic projector at the pick n pull today. It has the bluish/purple tint in the glass. Too bad the other one was smashed. Also too bad i dont have a 3" projector set to use them in.

They probably mess around with it when adjusting. Like "hmm..if i do this, I wonder how it'll be." Most people that adjust it, want to make sure they squeeze the best output possible with the shield, so they experiment with the adjustments.
