I was thinking about removing the A/C from my ITR. I never use it and I hate how different the car feels when im driving with it on.

I just wanted to know what I am going to have to do to eliminate it properly? Plus I hear removing it will make more power. Can you guys help me out? Thanks.

its pretty easy. just remove all the lines, compressor, condensor, and plug your firewall with p/n 91631 sr3-000

keep your stock crank pulley, its there for balance. just remove all that useless bullcrap and be done with it

I think I was reading an article in a magazine about replacing the crank pulley to a lightweight one for more power. I think they installed Unorthodox Racing crank pulleys to eliminate weight.

the pulley is meant to have a certain weight and be perfectly balanced. remember it is connected to your rotating assembly; even the slightest bit can have dramatic effects at higher rpms. torsional vibrations are very bad. just keep your stock pulley, the couple of hp you will gain isnt worth the risk of damaging your motor.

dude stick to OEM, i've dealt with an unballanced crankpulley and maaaaaaaaaaaan i got lucky. stick to oem though.

when the ac is off u dont lose power, so considering that u never use it your really only getting rid of it to lose weight and looks in the engine bay. This might hurt the reasale value of the R, so i would atleast save the parts
