I had the same probelm with the heat shield and my exhaust hangers. That bugged the shit of me.

I have the same problem but at around 2000 RPM. I have comptech headers and catback, so is it probably the cat? (97 GSR)

Anyone who can figure this mystery out is my hero. I've heard several diff things but it never goes away. THe only thing I haven't checked is the hangers-IDK what be the problem with them though. It ain't the cat or the heat sheild. I know someone who's got a unmolested gsr that does it too. Like I said, it's a mystery.
