My cars antenna wont go down, My radio and sound system work fine. When I turn it on you'll hear the motor trying to move it up or down. Right now its up but when I wanna turn it off it stays up. Do I need a new motor for it or what

Funny you say that i have the shark v2 on my car and its nice. But some bs lol because it doesnt fit out the box. I had to splice wires lile 3x. And position the antenna sideways so the trunk doesnt snap the tip off. Which happened twice to me

I have the shark 2. I literally get 1 radio station. It moves around and I too had to splice wires. I would not recomend it.

There's an internal white cable with teeth inside of the antenna. Either the cable snapped or the teeth are ground down. You can buy a cheap mast/antenna on Ebay for under $20. I replaced mine a couple years ago and no problems with it since. Just make sure to clean the antenna and oil it to maintain its function. It's unlikely that the antenna motor is broken but pull it out and take it apart, check the little gears and then you'll know. It's pretty easy to do.

Yeah i bought an antenna with the white cable with teeth attatched to it. Once i opened the stock antenna motor i had no idea what to do. Or my friends. So i tossed it and got the shark v2 . Like i said you have to do some splicing to get it to fit but it works for me. Radio stations are clear and i put an s2k antenna on it.

Am I the only one who had it go in perfectly with no modifications required? and still get all the stations I used to?

Pretty much. When I was in PA the other day, I got quite a few stations. Like 6 or 7 actually.
