I've learned not to reuse water pump bolts etc, All the small bolts that only torque to 8-16 ft lbs always seem to snap on me...

Yeah most bolts held up well, I didn't really snap the cam cap bolt so much as just snapped the stud that holds the vc on.

Ugh damn, Those wire colors don't match mine.

If anyone is willing to do me a huge favor I need a focused pic of the primary o2 wire where I have highlighted here.

Doesn't have to be tonight but my cam cap stud arrives monday and then my car will be soo close, Been having a hell of a time trying to sort this out :(

I can do it tomorrow but I got an ls. Idk if that matters. Also why do you need a pic?

As long as it's 96+ it doesn't matter, I need a pic so I know what color wires go where, My wires don't have the plastic plug so I have to hook them up one by one -__-

Yeah, I think an o2 sensor is a good place to start and should make a difference. .

Yeah after seeing that awesome seal get covered up I need to start making some solenoid covers. I do have my b17 head to model off of. Dont have a smaller solenoid to measure, but got the 92-01 covered at least.
I told you do it!!!

I'll gladly be your first customer if you make one that fits my car, Yes the R13 logo would be desired :D
nonsense lmao get in line buddy jajaja jk love what you've done with the car so far feeling the stripped vc engine bay looking nice keep it up bro

Hahaha yeah, Kurt got dibs for sure. He called it before I ever thought about making em.
Fuck it, I'll get on it! Lol, I got like 1 or 2 cam seals left so I need more anyway. Maybe I'll make one more small run of those, then a sample batch of solenoid covers..
Oh and you avatar is tits bro!!

I had a though on the covers...

What if you put a subtle lip on the inside of the opening so that when it goes over it; It lightly snaps over the lip on the bottom of the solenoid holding it in place?

Not saying it would work the thought just came to mind earlier.

Possibly, not sure how well that would work with it being one piece of aluminum.
I was kinda thinking just make it a pretty tight fit so it needed to be tapped on with a rubber mallet. Maybe a dab of silicone on the solenoid, or not.

Why does no one have a pwjdm cover to send us the pics and specs on!?!?!?! Lol

yeah I was thinking a small hole to fit a small allen stud to screw in and tight, the thought of hitting the vtec solenoid with a rubber mallet killing the idea lol

Donations would be helpful!
A set screw could work, but it would be visible. And I don't like the idea of that. Doubt you could reach it easily if it was on the back side. I haven't handled any other vtec solenoid covers... But mine will be good quality. Won't be tin can status. Rubber mallet won't hurt a thing. I'll be sure to keep the top somewhat thick so it's even stronger. After all, this is aircraft grade aluminum we're talking about.
