first off i just wanna say.. i just smoked a 3.2 cl type s and it seemed to have exhaust only i dunno.

but yea.. i went to a car performance shop today to see what i should get and i cant make up my mind wat to get next damn

1. skunk 2 shortshifter, it was like 140 tho,, does shortening the throw really do anything worth that much but give u more precise smoother shifting. i dunnno if i should get this or...

2. AEM pulleys, they were bout the same price, how much wheel hp does this give?

3. the guy at the store said i should get a fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator cuz im runnin lean cuz all my mods...

out of all 3 which is the best to get u guys think?

1. Short shifters just allow you to shift faster. The less time you spend shifting, the more time your on the gas accelerating. I don't have a short shifter, they're a dangerous game if you ask me. If you slam a short shifter on a regular basis, you'll kill the synchros is your tranny, they're not meant to move that fast. And if you kill your synchros, you might as well buy a whole new transmission because it won't cost too much more to buy one than it will cost to put in new synchros, they're very expensive and a labor intensive job. Not worth the risk of doing that type of damage just to shift faster if you ask me.

2. Once again, not worth the risk/HP gain ratio.

3. That's a line of BS. A fuel rail on a I/H/C/E equipped Teg won't do a damn thing. Fuel rails are for HIGHLY BOOSTED engines only, as are MSD ignitions and those 'earthing systems" you hear/read about. Stay away from that performance place you went to, or at least stop talking to that guy.

If your not going to build your internals (raise comp., pistons, ect.) or mess with the head (cams, p&p, valve job, ect.), get yourself an Apexi V-AFC. It's a good enough tuning tool to have your present setup tuned on a dyno with. Plus it looks a lot cooler in your cabin than a fpr does in the engine bay, right?

Yep, this is an expensive game. But look at what a $150 dyno session did for me:
