Question about B20 block!!!!!

true...i see you have a b20vtec...how much did it cost for the motor and do you have any places you would recommend me ordering from?

well it cost me $600 the shortblock, plus $500 the VTEC head and $100 something the VTEC Kit = $1,000+ you get possibly beat an ITR? priceless!

I don't know where you could buy it, since I bought mine from a local guy, I can see and inpect the block and he had all the papers. True JDM block 8)

keep your ls block and get the vtec head. save the extra $600 you would use to buy a b20 block and instead get itr pistons and ctr cams and u got yourself a type-r+ ;)

how much turbo would i be able to run with that set up and do you have a place you would recommend getting any of those things? also, should i go for a b16 or b18c head? and where should i order it from

i wouldnt recommend going turbo with itr pistons, but its possible with alot of tuning. b16 and type r heads are the same except for internals, gsr heads are different and gives you higher compression.

why not? i've seen ITR with stock engines with 10lb of boost pushing good numbers.. they aren't that high of compression..

I was just going to get my B18 sleeved and bored to a 2.0, nobody has to know about that.

sure itr with stock engines but what about ls blocks with itr pistons

ok, i didnt think so...does anyone know where i can order a b16 vtec head from and also any place in tampa/orlando area that can put the vtec head on my block along with new pistons, cams, etc.?

the B20 provides much better Tq and matched up with a good head with provide the hp you need....but yes it must be done right...no half assin things

i have a b20gsr, 12.0.1 compression, if you wanted to bore it you gotta sleeve it, b20s have more torque and are almost bullet proof i had the same 280 whp motor for 100,000 miles all you need is the oil line kit and a vtec head gasket and your set
