Q's about my GS-R.. newb to the GS-R

check the new axle before you put it on!
i got one from autozone that had a small tear in it, but i didnt realize. The day after i installed it there was axle grease all over the place. they replaced it for free but it was a pain in the ass.

how often am i spose to adjust my valves?... and i've seen it done.. and it doesn't look hard to do.. buh what are the specs?.. and whats the tool called?? could someone give me a step by step run through?
