well its not a b16 you see there. its a b17 gsr. the car currently has a jdm LS swap. im not a fan of ls buildups personally. i have 2 ls motors in my basement/shop and they are being torn down for ls/vtec builds. i went with the b17 because i got it cheap. its rare, and its for a da bodystyle. and i dont consider a b16 a downgrade to a b18b. a b16 has better rods, pistons, vtec obv, and more power. to build a reliable ls to put down the same power as the b16 you would need a few things. the only potential a b18b has is turboing the ls, and to realistically be able to make it dailyable id feel comfertable replacing alot of crap. im not knocking the ls motors, i just prefer them as ls/vtec. and b16's are awesome motors( hence why japan installed them in the honda integraXSi's) the b17 is being disassembled and getting new acl bearings, p30 pistons to raise the compression, rod bolts, arp head studs, metal head gasket,timing serv, new cams and valvetrain, ported head, bigger injectors, typer manifold, etc. this setup should be pretty sick compared to the jdm ls. pictures of the motor being assembled soon.
