went to the junkyard a few days ago and felt like i hit the lotto, i found everythin i needed and then some .
trunk carpet and panels
rear deck cover with lock
P/S pump
rear caliper
and some misc bolts i need for here and there.

drilled out a tab hole in my passenger door for the door molding, painted the fender wells black for that new car look underneath. got new belts for a/c and p/s and test fit one of the spare set of wheels i have.

not sure if i goin to use them since i may have to buy a new set of lugnuts but so far the fitment looks good once it gets dropped if i decide to go with these.
still on the to do list is the B-pipe and get vents for the climate control or jus replace it all together and last will be to rattle can the fenders green and find a way to either keep the sidemakers in or jus cover the hole with a sticker until its time for paint and body.

still havent found any work to get this project goin the way i want it but ive been able to clean up what i can and make some progress with what i have to work with so far.

so engine wise everything looks good and is in place only drawback is im gonna need a rear mount and a/c relay but thats no big problem. since the sidemakers were missing the clips to lock to the fender theyre now jb welded in place after filing the holes properly so they fit:lol:.

while i had the fenders off i discovered the car had been hit pretty good on the passengerside and they did a really s***ty job of tryin to salvage the door :roll:

so i got a used door from the u-pull-it which was in good shape.

found also from the same car i got the door from was the much need b-pipe that im gonna have to put a flange on and find or make a test pipe.

now im on the hunt for some blades or sunflowers because i dont wanna use the polish and painted si's i have but if push comes to shove then i'll have to, i already got a pair of sunflowers for free i jus need to track down 2 more.

i'll update this post with pics tomorrow or the next day while i do some work

since my cluster showed up today im kinda feelin motivated to work on the car again today

had made another trip to the u-pull and picked up a branch of brake lines from the engine compartment thats really been bothering me since i bought the car and wanted to change.


cant really understand why or how they could leave them like that and think it was ok.

not much for updates but the current status of now, i was able to find another 3 stock wheels to match the 2 i already had. come to find out the suspension issue i thought i had was due to the se-r wheels havin the wrong offset and rubbin on the brake caliper so that problem is solved.
jus need a few minor things but so far so good jus need to find some work to get this build started for real

picked up a used bumper cover at the junkyard jus need to respray it along with the passenger door and both front fenders, then she'll be all one color again.
still havent found work to get this goin so jus doin what i can for the time bein, still keepin my fingers crossed to make things happen.

finally was able to get a job in november and get things movin with the project. shortly after i got the first replacement bumper i found a much cleaner one a few days later and installed it instead and returned the crappy one

tracked down some automotive rattle can touch up paint and did the two fenders front bumper and passenger door which turned out pretty decent for now until the complete car can get painted.

put plates, insurance and finally on the road for a real shake down drive and the tranny seems to be not shiftin properly, not at all or when it feels like it after it warms up from a few miles.
so i did the usual changed the fluid and same thing, spoke to the previous owner about it and of course he says it was all good in his hands before he sold it to me.
after a few weeks of thought and brainstorming about either replacing the tranny with a used one or jus swappin it to 5spd and never worry about auto trans issues again. spoke to the previous owner about helpin me out with a replacement he remembers to mention that while the car sat the ecu was stolen but it was replaced with this ...

last i remember A01 means 5spd and from what i knew you can use a auto ecu in a manual car but you cant use a manual ecu in a auto car, confused at how could the car even shift with the 5spd ecu killed me.
after seein the ecu was the issue i couldnt even track one down locally jus to try out and be sure, i bit the bullet ordered one and this arrived yesterday ...

i was kinda skeptical to order it but the seller convinced me that its obd1 even though it has 4 plugs, turns out for those that dont know this ecu has the transmission control module inside it and not separate like the usdm ecu.
so next weekend ill be gettin some wire and extending the plug to the passenger side and see what happens, if it works ill get the head to match the ecu and have some fun :lol:

well sold the 4dr after uncovering damage that was beyond repair and picked up by chance a same color same year minus the 2 extra doors and 5spd a coupe for a crackhead deal :lol:



so ill be starting a build thread when i get some other pics besides this one.
