alright so i have the alternator un bolted, but i have no room to take it out, you got a pic of the half shaft? lol

The axle shaft directly under the alternator lol. I didn't really understand what he said though.

Removing the half shaft or removing the master cylinder right above the alternator are the only ways I hear. Oh and you could just remove the whole head, that gives you TONS of room. :D

JUST FINISHED!! :)
Pretty much i advise using jacks.
didnt need to remove the Master cyl or anything like that
tough part was getting it out once the alternator was all loose
however theres a three bolt bracket on the axle basically take the bolts off of that so now the axle has some room to move.
but keep in mind if you pull the axle toward the wheel then some fluid will start leaking, i think it was the tranny fluid, it was a light dark brown. anyways i took the alternator out from the bottom and new one reverse way.

Yes it was transmission fluid. Be sure to top it off. :D

Sorry bud, I was busy working on my Teg yesterday. Well, guess it was three bolts, not one. Good job tho man! Yea I didnt remove brake master cylinder of anything lke that either. That power steering hose was a whore tho huh? lol I figured out which hose was pissing me off when I was doing mine.

awesome man im having the same problem my alternator is fucked but i might have to send it to a repair shop cuz im just a noob lol.
