Yea remove that part, I believe that's the part under where your old air filter was at? It's useless now so removing it is better and plus in the future when you want to put in a cold air intake you don't have to worry about that as a problem. You'll need to go under the car to remove that part, just locate it under there and look for any bolts that are holding it.
